The Expo 2030 Roma Bid Committee is committed to bringing to Rome one of the
most important global events.
We are focused on illustrating to the Member Countries of the Bureau
International des Expositions (BIE) that Rome is the ideal location to host the
Universal Exposition in 2030 and to welcome more than 150 countries and 30
million visitors during the six months of the Exposition.
The theme of the candidacy, “People and Territories: Regeneration, Inclusion and
Innovation”, is strictly linked to Rome’s history and vocation. Over the centuries,
Rome has known far-reaching transformations and a constant process of
regeneration, bolstering the image of a city that is never static, always evolving and
adapting to change.
The overarching objective will be to address the theme of the relationship between
People and Territories by offering the opportunity to showcase the world’s best
practices and most innovative and sustainable solutions on issues that are
decisive for the future of mankind and are at the heart of the UN SDGs that should
be reached in 2030.
This is a goal that requires the active involvement of all private, institutional and
entrepreneurial sectors, which will be able to support the realization of significant
investments at the local, national and international levels.
